Apple Chutney

Description: Apple chutney, great with roasted pork loin.
Yield: 2 cups.

Qty Unit Ingredient
2 Granny Smith Apples (peeled, cubed)
1/2 c. Onion (chopped)
1/4 c. Cider Vinegar
1/4 c. Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp. Orange Zest
1 tsp. Candied Ginger (finely chopped)
1/2 tsp. Allspice
dash Red Pepper Flakes


  1. Mix ingredients well in a sauce pan over medium heat
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer
  3. Cover and simmer for about 40 minutes
  4. Increase heat to reduce liquid as desired
