Strawberry Shortcake
Description:
Shortcake, with easy strawberry glaze. Best served warm in a bowl with milk poured over it.
The shortcake is a family favorite, but it is not like the angel food cake most people associate with
strawberry shortcake.
Yield: Makes about 6 servings.

Vegetable Oil |

Baking powder |

Milk |
Directions:
- Stir together flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder
- Add vegetable oil and milk
- Stir only until well mixed
- Spoon dough into a greased pan
- Bake at 325 F. for 30 minutes
- Increase to 350 F. and bake for 15-20 minutes
- Serve with fruit
- Optionally add milk and/or whipped cream

Directions:
- Slice strawberries and place into bowl
- Mix strawberries with a few tablespoons of sugar
- Sprinkle more sugar over strawberries
- Refrigerate
